0:00 Okay, guys, it's Dr. Ryan. And today I'm here with one of my patients who has been with me for about nine months. This is John T. And he's going to tell us a little bit about his experience with Summa. So John, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself? 0:13 Okay, perfect. God, I live in California, I do sales and project management for a construction company. And some of the hobbies I do is, I like working out, I have a son, and he's a freshman in high school plays football. And so I helped train him and trying to get him to the next level. 0:32 were you an athlete in the past life as well, 0:34 I was in high school, I turned down some chips to play a D, one ball. And after that, but I do have an older son that plays at Utah State. So in football, pretty excited. 0:47 Yeah, very awesome, great genetics, athletic family, why don't you tell us a little bit about what your experience was like prior to starting with Zoom up a lot of the patients that come into the clinic, they come trying to solve certain problems. 1:00 So what I was dealing with, I got COVID, two times. And then the second round, they were minor effects. The only issue I had was fatigue, major fatigue. And that pretty much affected me for six, seven months to the point where you know, I was going to bed at 6pm. So it affected basically my mood relationship with my family. So I definitely was looking for something to help me change that whatever I was doing was not helping me at all. 1:30 Can you talk a little bit about how it affected your family, it's been particular 1:35 Well, it just to the point where, you know, I couldn't do things with them. And with me being so tired and cranky, it just, it wasn't a good environment, for the family for for me being around. And also, it was tough at work trying to, you know, do a sales job and manage projects. And me being that tired, I just could not kick it. 1:59 Another thing that's kind of important is assessing your thoughts and feelings to the whole process. There's an important paradigm and cognitive behavioral therapy thought PRISM or thought triangle, which basically refers to how feelings and thoughts lead to our situations. And the idea is that thoughts lead to certain feelings, which then lead to behaviors which lead to the current situation we're in. So it's always important to assess our emotional state prior to joining similar, what was your emotional state, like, 2:25 you know, I was starting to, you know, get depressed about the situation, or I couldn't kick kicked out fatigue, it was just I was stuck in this just this weird circle, and it just, it affected me real bad. So I was looking for something to help me kick that and make a change whatever I was doing, you know, I tried to work out, I tried to take vitamins and it just did not help the way I was doing 2:50 it. So at least you tried to do something to improve the situation was there like an inciting event that finally made you initially start to look for treatment? 2:59 Basically, I had a friend that was part of your clinic, he was doing it for six months. And I was kind of skeptical, and I was watching his transformation and his energy levels, it was about six months, when I said, Listen, I need to know, you know, I need to sign up with you and find out more about what you do with diet and supplements and stuff like that. So it was basically a friend of mine that was with your clinic that basically turned me on to this and helped me transform. 3:31 Very cool. So it was essentially a referral. That being said, even though he probably I'm assuming, I think I know who you're talking about, he spoke pretty pretty highly about the clinic. Were there any specific obstacles that you needed to overcome before starting before actually, even even with his assessment of the clinic with theirs? Were there a few obstacles that you need to move towards? 3:52 Not really, I mean, I was to the point where I needed, I needed some help, and I needed something to ignite and help me change. So the first area is what are some of the changes you noticed in your body and overall health? 4:18 Basically, when we first did our first round of lab works, I mean, I knew there was problems, but I was surprised that I was like almost pre diabetic and that that blew me away. That was shocking at first but then once you got me dialed in with the right supplements and vitamins the first week the energy levels were through the roof. I felt like I was a teenager again. From then on. It just ignited just motivation and helped me I think I've almost lost 40 pounds. Yeah, you know, five months. I believe it's been it's been an amazing transformation. 4:55 Yeah, I've been I've been very very impressed with your success. In fact, you know, I do want to Just kind of brag a little bit on you and I created this little, little slideshow right here. And as you can see, this is just a graph of the progress you've made with your in your waistline, which is a good barometer of your adipose tissue levels, you lost five inches off your waist, you're down just under 35 inches, which is really awesome. And in terms of your way, as you mentioned, you've lost almost 40 pounds and starting going from 250 to 11, which is amazing, picture's worth 1000 words and you can kind of see like your eyes are starting to poke off you got a nice V taper, a great definition your arms this is awesome in and personally, I don't even think we're done. I think we got you know at least another five to 10 pounds off and just getting your get you really really shredded, you're really looking really awesome now, but I bet we can do even better. So I'm really, really impressed. Now from an aesthetic perspective, I'm very impressed. But also because this clinic is about longevity about overall health. We're also looking at your biomarkers. And one thing that really impressed me was the change you made your lipid panel when you first started with me your LDL was quite unhealthy at 134. Your API proprotein was 111.
